SUSTAINABLE, INNOVATIVE AND CONNECTIVE PROCUREMENT

Procurement Conference 2025 was taking place in Portorož, between May 8th and 9th. This year’s focus was on ‘Sustainable, innovative and connective procurement‘ underlines our dedication to make our procurement smart, innovative and sustainable. The conference was the gathering spot for leading practitioners, researchers, experts, and theorists, offering a new perspective and insight into different approaches and global trends in the field of procurement.

The Procurement Conference is an invaluable opportunity for procurement managers, experts, practitioners, and anyone who believes that procurement is crucial for business growth and sustainable development. We delved into the impact of global trends on procurement, starting from current macroeconomic situation, international trade, to environmental challenges. We learned about sustainable business practices and business challenges, such as: how to manage purchasing categories as an integral part of the purchasing strategy, TCO (Total cost of ownership) in light of ESG, when is time to innovate, trends in logistic.

A significant aspect of the conference was the exploration of smart digitization with rising artificial intelligence, assessing both its opportunities and risks. We were learning from the best companies and their best practices.

The program emphasized the importance of excellent leadership and all the time new competencies in procurement, acknowledging that success requires more than technical know-how.
