PRESIDENT OF THE PURCHASING ASSOCIATION OF SLOVENIA
Since 2016, Marina Lindič has been the purchasing director for the Adria business unit and the Italy business unit of Ursa Slovenija Ltd. She is also responsible for purchasing strategic investments for the entire Ursa Group.
She has been employed by Ursa Slovenija Ltd. since 2015. First, as the director of the Logistics, Supply Sector for the Mediterranean and South-Eastern Europe. She covered logistics, a supply of raw materials, production planning, storage of raw materials and finished products, customers supply for Austria, Slovenia, and other countries of the former Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece.
From 1995 to May 2005, she was assigned to a position with special powers and responsibilities as Purchasing Manager at Trimo PLC. The areas she covered were purchasing materials, services, and capital goods on the domestic market and the import and storage of raw materials, consumables, and customs warehouses. She completed her studies at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana and completed the GMP at the IEDC Bled School of Management.
She is a co-founder of the Purchasing Association. From 2003 to 2011, she served as the vice-president of the Association, and from 2011 onwards as the Association’s president. In 2014, she was elected to the International Federation for Supply Management, and since 2016 she has been its treasurer. She is the co-author of the book Strategic Procurement and the Procurement Manager’s Handbook. She was also a professional editor for the procurement manager’s manual.
